2008: A Great Year; 2009: High Hopes

Its 2009 already...2008 was quite a whirlwind..31st dec 2007 seems just like yesterday...I was in probably the saddest mood I had been the whole of 07 thinking about another year wholly wasted...but ended up welcoming 2008 with Aboli and Mayank splurging 500 bucks in doing so...Now that its 2009 I feel those 500 bucks was money well spent...2008 was in many contexts an awesome year...Mid January to March was in many ways the best time of my life...Many special things happened...Never had things or rather Life looked so wonderful and beautiful...If only I get another chance I would readily relive those 3 months...

Some Things which more or less sum up my last year --

One of my life ambitions, Study in US, came true. I don't know I had this big urge of finishing atleast some part of my education here in the states;

At the same time I had to leave behind my family.

I had to leave behind all my friends in Pune and in Bangalore. The only reason I was living a Happy Life for the past 6 years was because of you dudes n dudettes...

It was actually pretty draining emotionally to leave so many things behind in India just to add a Masters Tag to my name. I spent quite a few nights after coming here pondering whether it was the right decision to leave a good life. Time will only tell...

As part of my transition phase starting from Amravati to Pune to Bangalore, I moved to New York. It is a city with great people,with great culture. It is a city that never sleeps. Even if I go at 2am in Manhattan it feels like 7pm. One of the best cities in the world...I guess( I Hope) this is my last stop :-)

After covering all of South India in the past 2 years, last year had few trips. Chikmaglur in Feb was an awesome trip. Have some great memories of this trip. Other than that Boston, Atlantic City and Raleigh finished off the year.

I discovered the emotional side of me, which was rather unexpected although a welcome surprise (gave me the confidence of me being a human not a Zombie ;-) )

Well cant think of anything more, still 2008 was one of the more satisfying years both emotionally, professionally and personally. It made me realise the power of Love, power of Friendship and lastly That the World has truly in every sense has become Flat.

With hope that 2009 recreates atleast some, if not all, the magic of 2008 I wish you all a Happy, Wealthy and a Healthy New Year!!!

I do plan to write much more frequently than the past 2 years. I hope I succeed at which I failed for the past 2 years.
