As my previous blog entry suggests, I am not a very happy person these days. Life has its ups and downs and its down time for me. Today it was worse than the usual (few more people for jobs...I know I should be happy for them..but as Madhavan says in 3 Idiots..when your friend flops, you feel bad. When he tops, you feel even worse) . what i want to say is.. it was a mixed feeling.
When nothing was cheering me, I was browsing through to find some movie to waste time..and as luck would have it, Andaz Apna Apna came to mind. I have and will always be a big big fan of comic capers, so decided to go ahead with it. Although I have seen the movie more than 25 times, but it still cracks me up every time as if its my first watch. The chemistry between Aamir and Salman is amazing. And it is backed by some rib-tickling dialogues. More than the acting, the credit, for me, should go to the dialog writers. Some of my favorites include..

I finished the movie around 2 in the morning and it sort of completely rejuvenated me. I finished the movie in a pretty jovial mood. That's how movies should be made. To sum up Andaz Apna Apna... When you're down and sad and nothing the world seems right or makes you happy, its time to see *Andaz Apna Apna*...150 minutes later, the world is a Beautiful Place once again!!
Unfortunately these days comedies are rather loud to make them sound funny. It lacks the punchlines and the acting to support it. But who cares as long as we have Andaz Apna Apna!!!
